What we do with the details you send us, and what this website stores on your device. Written plainly, because a notice nobody reads protects nobody.
Who is responsible
FM Power Plumbing and Heating Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16396347, registered office 16 Orchard Road, Hayes UB3 2JA, is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at info@fm-power.co.uk or +44 7447 364648.
What we collect, and why
If you use the enquiry form we receive your name, phone number, and — where you give them — your email address, postcode, the type of job and whatever you write in the details box. We use it for one thing: to answer your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work.
The lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not sell your details, we do not pass them to anyone for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 24 months, so we can pick up the thread if you come back. Where we have carried out work, records are kept as long as the law requires for gas safety and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make this website work or carry your message to us. All of them act as processors on our instructions, with one exception, marked below:
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and delivers it to your browser.
- Resend — delivers the enquiry form to our inbox as an email.
- united-domains — provides our info@fm-power.co.uk mailbox.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — carries your message if you choose to contact us that way. This is the exception: Meta is not our processor, it handles your message under its own terms. See below.
- Google — analytics and advertising measurement, only if you allow cookies. Decline and no Google cookie is set.
If you message us on WhatsApp
WhatsApp is one of the ways to reach us, and it is optional — a call, an email or the form on this site reach us just as well. If you do use it, the message travels through WhatsApp, a Meta service, under Meta’s own terms and privacy policy rather than ours. We see your WhatsApp phone number, your profile name and whatever you send us, and Meta processes that message on its own servers, which are outside the UK. We use what you send for the same single purpose as an enquiry through the form, and we keep the conversation for the same period as the enquiries described above.
Cookies
Nothing but the strictly necessary is stored until you choose. If you decline, the analytics and advertising cookies below are never set.

Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@fm-power.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
